My sisters and I welcome you to the virtual home of the Greater Columbia County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Our chapter was chartered on April 13, 2014—101 years after thesorority's initial founding by 22 courageous college students at Howard University. We are women on fire-- excited to be the 1033rd chapter.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has clearly distinguished itself as a public service organization that boldly confronts the challenges of African Americans and, hence, all Americans. We are a sisterhood called to serve—transforming lives and impacting communities. We demonstrate dedication to the mission and vision of the Sorority's Founders bycommitting ourselves to the public service and outreach programs that fulfill the key elements of our sorority's National Five Point Programmatic Thrust:
- Economic Development
- Educational Development
- Physical & Mental Health
- International Awareness & Involvement
- Political Awareness & Involvement
We also offer community programs and services via our Social Action and Arts & Letters Committees.
I appreciate that you have taken the time to learn about who we are and what we do. I invite you to explore every aspect of our website and become familiar with our activities and projects.
We are just getting started. Won't you join us! We look forward to forging partnerships and working in conjunction with those who also express an uncompromising commitment to the Greater Columbia County Community. If you are a Soror looking for a Delta home, we would love to have you!
